From the famous landmarks such as the oriental pearl tower and the historic Yu Garden, to the world famous food like dumplings and fresh local seafood, there is no doubt that Shanghai will have what you are looking for.
While at East China Normal University, take advantage of the Liwa River that passes through the campus, leaving rocky gardens, bridges, willow trees, and pagodas in its path. This University has 110 student-run organizations, multiple dining halls, eateries and access to public transportation to the rest of the city.
East China Normal University offers a wide range of courses for undergraduate students. Prior knowledge of Chinese is recommended but not required. If you have little to no background knowledge in Chinese, you have the option of taking Chinese language and related courses that are designed for international students at different levels. A placement test is administered to all international students who plan to take Chinese language classes before registering for classes, except for those with no language background in Chinese. If you are fluent in Chinese, you can enroll in the regular university courses that are taught in Chinese. ECNU offers 55 undergraduate programs.
