Yonsei’s Winter Abroad at Yonsei (WAY) program offers a focused opportunity to deepen your understanding of Korean language and society.

Course Descriptions and Syllabi

During the Winter Abroad at Yonsei (WAY) Program, students can take between 3 and 6 credits. Keep in mind that 6 credits is considered a heavy academic load due to the program’s intensive format.

As a 3-week program, WAY courses are fast-paced and academically rigorous. Here’s what to expect:

  • Class Schedule: 150 minutes per day, Monday through Friday
  • Total Instruction Time: 45 in-class hours per course
  • Coursework: Most classes include a midterm examfinal exam, and often a term paper (requirements vary by professor)

For more information on course offerings, visit Yonsei WAY University’s website.

Course equivalency information for UAlbany Students

Credits earned on this program may be approved to satisfy the World History/International Perspectives or other UAlbany General Education requirements, if you earn appropriate credit in these areas and receive approval using the General Education Substitution Request form found here: General Education Waivers, Substitutions & Appeals | University at Albany

Courses may also satisfy major and minor requirements, with approval by the associated academic department(s). You may file a request to have additional courses approved for equivalency as necessary.
