Program Description:
Program Information
UAlbany students studying on programs administered by non-SUNY schools must follow the rules for transfer credit, and, if studying for a semester or longer, also apply for a Leave for Approved Study through the office of the Dean of Undergraduate Education.
Requirements
Consult the college or organization that is administering your program for information about requirements and appropriate application procedures.
Academics
Students participating on programs administered by other 4-year SUNY campuses will remain registered at UAlbany and will be earning Albany credits automatically. Students participating on other programs will be earning credits that must be accepted for transfer by UAlbany. You might wish to examine options available to you through SUNY before agreeing to participate on a non-SUNY program.
With proper approvals, credits earned while studying abroad may be counted toward your major, minor, or general education requirements in addition to counting toward the 120 credits required for graduation. However, credits earned on non-SUNY programs will not satisfy any of UAlbany's requirements for credits earned "in residence".
General Education Information for UAlbany students: credits earned on this program will automatically satisfy the International Perspectives requirement IF THEY ARE ACCEPTED FOR TRANSFER TO YOUR UALBANY DEGREE. You may file a request to have additional courses approved.
Support Services
Program-specific questions should be answered by the administering campus or organization and the staff at your overseas site.
